Lancaster University Students’ Union is here to help everyone have successful learning experiences by being a force for positive change, supporting wellbeing, and offering opportunities for a fulfilling student life.

And we work towards that goal by getting involved in every bit of the life of the university, providing a huge number of services designed to make your time here as fun, fulfilling and fantastic as it can be.

Every student automatically becomes a member of the union and we’re here to support you in every aspect of student life. This includes being part of our 250+ clubs and societies, representing the university in BUCS leagues, taking part in our recreational and college sport events, getting involved in college activities or taking up volunteering opportunities on campus, in schools or in the community.

Above all, we are here to fight your corner and make sure you get all the support you need while you’re at Lancaster. If things go wrong during your time with us, our advice service is here to help with all aspects of student life – including your course, exams, disciplinaries, budgeting, health & wellbeing, and more.

You can find us in Bowland Main West Wing, right between the learning zone and University House. We are number 28 on this map.

The Welcome Desk team offers general information about the union and the university. They also handle sales of Unirider Bus passes, event tickets and Purple cards and offers fax, thermal binding, laminating, and photocopying services.
