Schools Volunteering

Each year hundreds of students make a difference to the lives of local young people through schools volunteering; building their own skills and experience for the future as well.
These opportunities provide invaluable experience for students looking to work with children, maybe those looking to pursue a career in teaching or those looking to give back to the local community. We have something for everyone, whether you just want to volunteer for a day on campus or would like to commit to a regular placement in a local school.

Volunteer in the local community

On and off campus there are charities and groups within making incredible changes to the community in which we live. They need people who care, people who can support them, people who have the drive and ability to make change, and contribute to making Lancaster an amazing place to study and live.
Lancaster Students have a great reputation for making positive change in our community. You’re bright, you’re enthusiastic and you can make a difference.
Whether you want to volunteer from home, on campus or off campus; with children, animals, the elderly or people in need, we’ll have a role to suit you. No matter what your previous experience, you can be the change.
All you need to do is register, and when you have the availability to give some time, look at the opportunities available.
